1. If my Lord concealed the sheikh from the groups
He inspired them to curse the delight of my eyes

2. So I bear witness to Him of the specifics that
There was no disdain from me toward the uncouth

3. Thus there is nothing in me that prevented me from seeing
What the Giver has given as a gift, O You who perfects mankind

4. The darkness of the self has shown me his virtues
Like the darkness of night reveals the radiance of the moon

5. I listened to the groups and their immoralities in their gatherings
Slandering the sheikh, scolded and reprimanded

6. Tempted by our teachers and tempted by them
Procrastinating from taking responsibility and age

7. Do they not know that He and injustice delays it
And seizing it one day comes, seizure of the Capable

8. Do they not know that for the sheikhs there is a victor
Neither absent nor did they think Him other than victor

9. They vilify him to the sheikh, his injuries
No! Their vilification of the sheikh did not harm

10. On coarseness has fallen a hyena and pounced
Since not the coarseness complains of the pounce of hyena

11. Have I shown you above the highest of deafness
Or the horn of blindness, the blindness butted the stone

12. So let them defame, for us there is
Good emulation and good following of trace

13. And we have nothing after our sheikhs were insulted
Than to be shielded from the vulnerable of wounds

14. So we drink the insults as honey
And the praiser amongst us drinks patience

15. What can we expect if our sheikhs are insulted
Except to be adorned with sweet words and ink

16. So their praise if it comes to us it is our praise
And their insult if it comes to us the final news
