1. In some corners today there are dissenters
Who have strayed from the path of their ancestors
١. في بعضِ شِبهِ الزَّوَايَا اليومَ آحَادُ
عن نَهجِ أَسلاَفِهم في العُرفِ قَد حَادُوا
2. They used to avoid what was unbecoming of them
Of it is compromise, even if pressed by dissenters
٢. كانوا يَحيدُونَ عَمَّا لا يَلِيقُ بِهم
منه المِرَاسُ وإن ضَمَّتهُ ألحَادُ
3. It is best for one who wants to walk rightly
To dissent from the obstinacy of the stubborn
٣. أولَى لِمَن رَامَ سَيراً أن يَكُونَ لَهُ
في السيرِ عن شُمَّخِ الأَطوَادِ إلحَادُ
4. The sun is not like the stars, nor are they united
In allure, horses and camels dissent
٤. ما الشَّمسُ مثلَ السها كلاً وَما اتَّحَدَت
عِندَ الجِذابِ سَراحينٌ وَآسادُ
5. What is flung is not similar to what casts
Nor is reform similar to corruption in dissent
٥. وما تَشَاكَلَ مَطرُوحٌ ومُطَّرَحَ
وَما تَشابَه إصلاحٌ وَإِفسادُ
6. So the Shugrwis have purified spirits
From all blemish, and bodies with which they excelled
٦. فلِلشَّقرويينَ أَرواحٌ مُطهَّرَةٌ
مِن كُلِّ ذَامٍ وأجسادٌ بها سَادُوا
