1. So that he who contemplates it may know
That we are servants of the revered elder's kinsfolk

2. And I worship him who is connected to him
Even if he were a servant mired in idleness

3. He is the sheikh Ahmad, who by his resolve
Attained the stations of great men

4. And testimony languished after barrenness
And the footsteps of the Messenger were revived

5. Allah granted him a wish and priority
For whoever comes to him seeking

6. And gave him a long life, upright and obeyed
On a clear, glistening path

7. And blessed his sons and his sons' sons
The cherished gallant lions of our time
