1. Behold, how strange are the ruins of the dwellings
Upon the tomb of Imam Al-Hadrami

2. And greet the abodes wherein he once resided
For it is ignorance not to pay your respects

3. Circulate around them, for in revolving about them
Each aspiring soul is exalted on high

4. And visit his grave, for his fragrance is worthy
Of giving exaltation from the Most High

5. And the healing of souls, and the curing of all
Afflictions that plague the body from head to toe

6. It is no wonder that you all find this
In the sanctuary of the venerable erudite sage

7. The learned Imam, the noble saint
Who gathered within him the miracles of sainthood

8. Beloved of Al-Hashimi and his emulator
What a splendid fellow, beloved of Al-Hashimi

9. His heir in obedience and avoidance
Protector of his faith with Al-Mashrafi

10. Watered a land that contained a saint
Generous morning and eve without cease

11. And blessed its dwellers through the grace of the Prophet
And the companions of that Prophet

12. Upon him from Allah prayers more fragrant
Than musk and sweetest perfume
