7. Today the scholars have become followers
Of those who do not distinguish between the door and the wall.

8. He did not distinguish substance if it was said from attribute,
Nor did he distinguish images in speech from forms.

9. I did not expect misguidance to turn
What was in the heart of good to evil after maturity.

10. Until I saw the wonders I witnessed
May He protect us by His might from wasting our life.

11. Is the stance of the scholar to the ignorant foot
Except as the eye of misguidance, is there among you a deterrent eye?

12. Have you ever seen in the past someone with vision
Lead one in darknesses while losing sight?
