1. Intoxicated me without any drink
And came when she came with a wondrous affair

2. Did not return with any verse from Allah's book
Until I forgot the mother of the book

3. Reminded me with her voice the voice of David
Reciting the Psalms in the shrine

4. Went the matter of Islam, the best of its outcomes
And the kingdom became stable in its pillars

5. Settled its settlement, reassured
Populated after its remoteness and estrangement

6. So thank Allah alone and seek forgiveness
For whom plentiful reward awaits
