1. By God, He has established religion and you are its supporter
From the stance of contempt which leads to ruin like it

2. So appoint your son Al-Abbas your successor
For he has a place, and write to the people about the pledge

3. If his youth betrays him, his intellect is mature
With it the rank of the old man who guides the rightly-guided

4. And John was given knowledge before him
