1. O Abu Ja'far, if the authority glorifies a people, then you are its glory,
So do not distance yourself from us for anything, though you were deposed by us.

2. Will you bar me, when you allowed in your presence,
People to whom I am superior in virtue?

3. I will come to you despitefully if after this I come to you,
Otherwise estrangement, which association between us has occasioned, remains.
