And a wiper of milk-skins in al-jiraa'

4. I do not say when the water is hot and steaming
That the water is preoccupied

5. I do not sharpen my nails to fight him
For restraint and foul words are incumbent

6. Nor do I hoard provisions
I know provisions are for eating

7. Until it is said, when I am troubled
Where is the son of ‘Awf, Abu Qurrah the blessed

8. I make preparations for a people to compete with
When the fighters gather on the battlefield

9. I never humiliate my people out of cowardice
In which there are monkeys as riders and tambourines

10. And a raid like locusts blown by the wind
Stirred up by the kindling of war, like the blade of a polished sword

11. With which the auspicious Meemoon charges, his loincloth
More frightening, having shed his trousers

12. I witnessed thrusts but did not flee when
One wearing a helmet fell and was dragged

13. With arrows piercing his face, his forelocks were not cut
He is protected as he is exposed on the day of clamor

14. As if after perspiring in the melee
A chieftain is drenched by the wings of night

15. Women are indeed like trees grown together
Among them are bitter and some sweet to eat

16. When women abandon moral behavior
Punishing them becomes imperative, unavoidable

17. They do not repent when guided, if they incline to it
