He has the neck and forehead of a gazelle of the sands

12. What matters that he has no antlers?
Any discourse in his praise

13. When his words and speech are remembered
The full moon is jealous of his beauty

14. And the splendor of his shyness when he was a boy
I never lent my ears to those who blamed him

15. And his love never blamed me for passion
He is the full moon but without fear

16. Of loss when he reached fullness
Where are the beautiful oases appearing?

17. Their springs overflowing with water
And those gardens blooming with flowers

18. That open like smiling mouths
And the gazelles we hunted tirelessly

19. Chased by their young everywhere
The gazelles avoid the barren land

20. Even if their dens are far
In front of the horses, lofty and long-necked

21. Trying in vain to break free of the bridle
His light steps scattering roses in the desert

22. And partridges cooing softly
As if my passion and love for him

23. Were rewarding me there in the valley
They are the reason for that attachment

24. After wandering and insomnia exhausted him
He challenges me in the wilderness weakened

25. Fleeing to the hills where the deer roam
At the ruins of an abandoned camp

26. I shed tears saturating the soil
There I detained my friends in passion

27. The dust of a dwelling that soothed our thirst
I conversed with the ruins of my love

28. Loyal to our pact and oath
On a night when I stayed up grieving, the stars appeared

29. And my beloved, the fulfiller of hopes, appeared
So greetings to you who came to Al-Uqayq

30. Even if its people and nobles are gone
Greetings from a heart-stricken lover

31. Frightened by dawn and darkness when remembered
When the beloveds are remembered, his tears are silenced

32. And the threads of harmony entwine in my mind
And he recited from the fruits of his thoughts

33. A unique poem, stately in its rhythm
It astounds the composers of verse when it appears
