1. The age rejoiced after it gained insight,
Parting from it were satiety and the informant.

2. And the air stripped off its dark robe,
And the earth dressed in its green attire.

3. And it smiled, displaying its beautiful blossoms,
When the rain wept before and turned salty.

4. The scattered clouds did not cease
To adorn the garden with its dispersed pearls.

5. And lightning did not flash through it in vain;
Rather, it made the locus overflow with its blood.

6. Were it not for the lightning's carnelian,
The garden would not have produced gems.

7. Gardens that were as if they were orbits
That at times slumber and at times stay awake.

8. When the morning breeze blows through them, it exudes
For the nose a musk whose intensity causes sneezing.

9. A land priding itself before the sky, illuminated
With each star of its blossoms more radiant.

10. And before its stars vied
With Aldebaran and the hunters of Banu Hamir,

11. With every rain when the sky became healthy,
And every lion when he broke a spear,

12. And every arrow when it obtained its purpose,
And every brave warrior when he ascended a pulpit,

13. With oceans of generosity that overflow from bounty;
The possessor of majesty, between them is al-Kawthar.
