1. Congratulations on days that bring you pride
For fasting in them and breaking fast as well

2. Your endeavors still bring praise and success
With merits and pride that make envy swell

3. Your white swords make rulers scared and wary
While clouds and rain envy your bounty

4. When drought and ruin spread their wretched claws
Your generosity and might defeat their cause

5. When the light of faith assails their wretched plight
Honor and bounty replace their fear and blight

6. The scorned outcast tastes esteem at last
As the strong and mighty befriend him fast

7. A wayward youth you befriended and taught
Securing him with gains and wisdom fraught

8. Like stars you shine to light the darkest night
Despite the heavy burden and my lack of might

9. My brother, from kind Abu Al-Fadl springs
Virtues and traits that make the flowers sing

10. Patience, courage, softness, fortitude
And aid for days of hardship and gratitude
