1. We are a people from Tameem, son of Murr
We rain on the safe and the year is fruitful

2. We eloquently deliver sermons while the people are silent
And we repel the army and the horses before

3. Wise, it is not proper for our love
To be impulsive during sermons, that would be folly

4. Bright faces, generous hands
And fresh dew, shelter, and shade

5. The stars of kingship and oft returning
Just as saddles are removed from backs

6. The roses complained one day
Chains upon the roses and respite

7. So we exemplified patience and courage until
The proud envied our towering heights and sharp swords

8. How can you fear a crisis of time
When the religion’s right hand is its preservation and quadrature

9. The pourer of virtues and the meaning of glory
And the zeal of loftiness and the sword of hardness

10. And a Khamis striking with spears
Bringing spoils that do not diminish

11. So the composed she-camels fled
And his harm did not subside

12. He sacked the desert until it settled
In the expanse of air a conquerable land

13. And the earth’s surface shuddered so it did not
Move except by a hoof and shadow

14. You attained amongst them insightful governance and opinion
So confusion cleared and comprehension took hold

15. A pen dripping poison and honey
Thus in both states it is a bee and connection
