1. No equal to your throne, O clan of Asad,
You remain as long as the peace tree grows green.

2. Glory has its fount your abodes,
And with you rest the lofty ones.

3. Givers of food when drizzles the rain of sprouting,
Pressers of pure wine when the vineyards ripen.

4. When you squander wealth your munificence guards it;
Preservation, where neighbor and covenants lodge.

5. They strut about the dove-cotes when
The zealous grow less and the confused abate.

6. Banners of glory, nothing hidden,
Over them waves the sword of the State.

7. Protector of glory with his hand,
The aider, strong and munificent.

8. To the foe a kindled brand,
To those who seek refuge a meadow and pool.

9. He brings to life events with his resolve,
And because of his bounty death itself dies.

10. O loyal one, no affliction has struck you,
And God the Clement is your defender.

11. By the glory you witnessed
Have days and peoples vaunted.
