1. The desert learned the breadth of his chest,
So it persisted with docile winds and showers.

2. Like a firmly rooted mountain in composure,
He did not fear the passage of youth and calamities.

3. And the chains of Euphrates and Tigris followed,
Tasting through him a delicious drink.

4. Almost the abundant clouds everywhere
Darkened when they saw his generous palms dripping with desires.

5. And the arrows of archers beamed at his illumination
When he pursued the tracks of the enemy warrior.

6. And the morning said when it saw the dawn of his face,
“Farewell to me as I am among the departed.”

7. Oh you whose chest gathered
The scattered virtues of both near and far!

8. He wore the garb of ministry knowingly,
With its secrets of resident and traveler.

9. He wore it with intelligence and valor gloriously,
Embracing glory between prohibition and trials.

10. He came like an Indian sword that
The hand of the skilled polish to split taxes.

11. His resolves invigorate the power of his followers,
While he suffices the targeted for blame.

12. If they fail in his command, his daring spear rises with him,
Thrusting fiercely with filed blade.

13. Poverty is easy for him except in glory,
And he knows praise is the best of gains.

14. So no eloquence except to satisfy a greedy one,
And no honor except in supporting a companion.

15. The free restored for him the servitude of obedience
For how he covered them in good tidings and grants.

16. So the proudest of people remained after empowerment
Seeing the kiss of his slipper the highest of positions.

17. Abu Ja'far, the Caliphate's shoot, excellent,
The imamate gathered all glory and virtues.

18. It pleased Tameem while he knew
And enabled it out of its creek and durations.

19. With him, it restored the ruins while it was dried out
And its kindling of logs and branches.

20. So a glorious Quraishi honor did not abandon him,
Protecting his sanctity from the strikes of catastrophes.
