When the dawn of Eid or fasting arrives

2. May your freshness last long as we hope
Through you every magnificent poem flows

3. May you live long obeyed in command
Envied by clouds and swords

4. The homeland flees from your firmness
And the brave are defeated by your valor

5. Through you the days flourished until
Their flowers and birds chirped

6. Benevolence, protection, justice and equity
And clemency not marred by revenge

7. Merits beyond their ultimate goal
Cannot be attained or aspired without you

8. Religion wanders astray unless we call you sincerely
A pillar for it as the imam rejoices

9. So a skilled writer or imam is victorious
With your might when discord ignites

10. You won people’s hearts with kindness
That their leader and master is a lad

11. You let hopes flow from hands
To lofty aspirations they streamed

12. You adorned the ministers’ office with nobility
And stature though the position is sublime

13. A necklace becomes more beautiful with a pearl
When proportion and order are complete

14. Swords shine more when embellished
Among them sharp blades and pearly sheaths

15. You excelled the arrogant elders in fatherly care
Undoubtedly they are generous men

16. So you are the pearl and its essence is precious
You are the rain and its origin is clouds

17. And you, when calamities clash in adversity
Are a piercing sword or determined sheath

18. Sincere of heart from images and deception
When the wicked conceal their wickedness

19. You rise above fraud which is wisdom
And among foes determined brows

20. Never did a minister possess your merit
Nor will anyone as speech ends
