1. The feast is a day that brings joy to people upon its arrival
Though the virtue of a day pleases you however limited
١. العيدُ يومٌ يسرُّ الناس مقْدمُه
وفضلُ يومٍ واِنْ أرضاكَ محدود
2. And every day is associated with Fakhr Al-Din
So it is a feast for the refugee and the sheltered one
٢. وكلُّ يومٍ بفخر الدين مُقْترنٌ
فمنه للملتجي والمُعْتفي عيدُ
3. It gives to the poor while the sky's clouds are stingy
And it widens the neighbor though expelled
٣. يُعطي الفقير وسُحب الجو باخلةٌ
ويوسعُ الجارَ نصراً وهو مطرود
4. A knight whose nights are white from his fires
And his days are white from his dark wars
٤. فتىً لياليه بيضٌ من مواقده
وبيضُ أيامه من حربهِ سودُ
5. So may he who is clothed in white with a generous brother last
His praises recited as long as wood grows leaves
٥. فدامَ أبلجَ بسَّاماً أخا كَرمٍ
تُتْلى محامدهُ ما أورقَ العودُ
