1. His opinions and spears contend in glory,
And each is adept at piercing armored foes.

2. The clanging of armor is safe from him,
And the breastplate is shattered by his blows.

3. When death takes on a pale hue in their faces,
He submits to fate and the wise one yields.

4. He enriches and strengthens those near him, his might,
Not what the fearful and destitute appealed for.

5. For guest and neighbor settled on his land,
Noble nights, honor and joy he yields.

6. Abu Ja'far, crown of kings, his
Glory ancient and renewed reveals.

7. You lashed the demon of arrogance,
And the demon of the arrogant you sealed.

8. So he was defeated by your kindness, just as
The arena from your munificence kneels.

9. No calamity but you are its solace,
No harshness but you are gentle and healed.

10. The ministers prided in you,
As Tameem prides in its musk that reveals.
