And the stiff, stubborn spears do not deter me

3. So my praise of you became eloquent
Repeated by the mouths of reciters in gatherings

4. Your face is radiant and your palm is generous
Your might is formidable and your chest is capacious

5. You have encompassed the halal of glory completely
Your efforts left nothing unattainable

6. The lofty abodes fear your glorious ascent
And the pouring rains envy your saving hands

7. Truthful when maligned and generous
When the flashing lightning of blame is untrue

8. And many a wretch of mean nature
You have aided though greed pressed upon him

9. And many a grief-stricken heart you have relieved
With triumph though paths seemed closed to him

10. And a great crime which you have forgiven
When patience was thin and perils were feared

11. You are worthy of long life and nobility
And glory since the she-camels knelt down at rest

12. The helper of faith is above the praise of one who praises
For every praise falls short of his supreme worth

13. A youth like an Indian sword - its blade
Is piercing, and its edge is cutting

14. Safe from the harm of treacherous intrigues
Seeing the evil that plotting minds conceal

15. Pure when rulers cheat the commoners
Merciful when fate treats harshly the compliant

16. The newborn comes to him in peace
And the army flees from him in surrender

17. And steeds like lionesses at lairs he rouses
To thrust with faces set against the obstacle

18. They leave the land's surface pitted and hollow
And their constant treading makes the air dusty

19. As if their ending place after arrival
Were ripples in the slopes of the flashing sands

20. When they are held back, the winds blow at dawn
Over the stalks of reeds making them flutter

21. On them are warriors, grave and stern like hunters
Beating down prey with their pelting blows

22. When they rush into war joyfully
They bend their spears though still quivering

23. They terrify with their yell anything passing by
As if the midday heat's simmer envelops it

24. The Sultan seizes it from them in an onslaught
Which restores the might of the tribe when at strife

25. The protector seizes it truly for his companions
When the shining moons of men meet

26. Then he spreads destruction and after victory
Withdraws gently, humble and modest

27. He is the excellent refuge of the living and the place
Where glory flows and evil is non-existent

28. O Father of Conquests, be steadfast in glory
As long as the moaning dove laments at daybreak

29. As long as the gravel of marshlands is not plowed
By ostriches roaming freely and settled there

30. With the sincere prayer of a loyal supporter
When false affection is slippery and deceitful
