It attained in heights between Ka'b and Aamer

2. And it came like the sand dunes of Al-An'amayn and Alaj
With virtues that shine between lasting and transient

3. It repeats the darkness as morning and increases its pride
To the outstanding among Qais Iylan the prominent

4. And it caught up with the galloping of warriors so it contained
The inheritance of glories, great after great

5. So the old glories were established by its pride
In the abundance of dew from the family of fiery Shaawq

6. So the place of clouds and rain became repentance
And what is the pride of clouds that do not rain?

7. They were generous with the overflowing of gifts and a horseman who
Does not retreat from battle and the preventer of the neighbor lodger

8. With determination against frightening tribulations and retreating
From shame, good by acquiring prides

9. The horseman whose horses gallop with war clubs as if
They were the hind legs of the noble stallions

10. Emerging from the night of dust as if they are
Arrows, heroes coming and going

11. Keen to guard the frontiers, their valleys have turned
Away from every weak hyena

12. They teach how to stab the throat of every cultivated man
And guide to striking iron every devious

13. There repentance of good is found guaranteeing
The well-being of the land from the blood of flaming

14. So neither the strong shield prevents his spear
Nor are his swords feared with forgiveness

15. And excellent is the settlement of the night raiders
When the dust of years mixes with the barren

16. The dawn repeats the smoke of his cooking pots at night
And presents the age of his fires to every tyrant

17. And their water goes with filled water skins
To the guest in the manner of racing she-camels

18. If an apparition from the atmosphere of land appears to him
The heap of firewood warns with the barren

19. Worship of the eyes regarding glories and destruction
In place of doors from the whiteness of rocks

20. Verily the meteors of religion in ordeal and conflict
Is a poor living or hero's death

21. I praised you out of old love and experience
For what you attained formerly of heights and feats

22. When worries were like dental pain and a condition
That brought back every barren wasteland

23. So if days got the better of me they did not get
Lofty aspirations and thoughts

24. And if I went away like the Indian without arms
Then shame on the heroes for ignorance of the message
