1. You visited the two Imams with a heart that was folded,
Pure from the motes of passions and turbidity.

2. And you did not cease to be a visitor in deed, mingled
With the people without traveling or journeying.

3. You followed exemplary traditions in describing their glory,
Thus you were, before, a visitor and did not visit.

4. Preference brought you close to them, over desire
With provision, and support for the oppressed among strangers.

5. And forbearance and courage in peace and conflict
Between an offended mighty one and a pardoned one.

6. With them interceding for you on the Day of Return when
The righteous are in tremendous danger.

7. I praise, due to the excellence of the Chief of the Religion, believing
That even if my words are good, they are inadequate.

8. And poetry falls short of reaching the pinnacle of
His lofty virtues, so my elaboration is like a summary.

9. The ash of chaff pretends to match its kindled flame
When the stars do not illuminate the walkers.

10. It does not seek excuses for the towns to prevent Him,
Nor is it proper, when adulterated with wine.

11. Nor does dew flow from it by asking,
But its charity suffices instead of rain.
