4. When it descends to the valley, it is the refuge of the towering
And for it, a deep valley is a lofty one when contending with it

5. Quick to provide succor, its delay is not complained of
Nor does the desolate place know its paths

6. When its guests describe it, it is wretched
With the neighing of the wild mares and their galloping

7. It is the chewer whose bite draws blood from the necks
When profit goes astray, its stabbing blades are envied

8. It gives its steeds the permitted water to drink
And the water skins burst forth at the watering places

9. When the fresh roses bloom, its presence there
Is a noble victory and plentiful springs on the morrow of battle

10. It illuminates the dark night, though the night is gloomy
When the swords of the faith are counted among its virtues

11. A protector, feared for the sharpness of its sword
Envied by the flowing cloud and its showers
