1. Praiseworthy is his complete generosity,

A determined, unyielding sword when resolute,

4. Excellent in striking down fully-armed warriors at their peaks,
Until the atmosphere is cleared of adversaries,

5. And its dust settles after finishing them off,
And the battlefield is left fragmented and divided,

6. Scattered like livestock grazing freely,
With no wetness from his blade or bloodstains,

7. The hospitality of my companion suffices over provisions of blood,
And he generously pours forth the souls of men and skulls,

8. With abundant, unstinting gifts from the side of blessings,

9. Destitution fears him, and hardship is wary of him,
Of perfect physique and with sublime features,

10. His wealth is abundant riches, not meager,
He is the pillar of the state, fulfilling all responsibilities,

11. The glory of kings and the refuge of those seeking protection.
If an adversity comes about or an affliction pains,

12. He lives obeyed for as long as the journey of life continues,
His days in all that he desires are served.
