And the opponent dreads his argument.

2. The cloud's water and the gentle breeze desire his gentle ways.
The sea of virtues and bounties,

3. His generosity is boundless.
He revives the ignorant with his grace,

4. And enriches the destitute.
His prayers are abundant blessings,

5. And his knowledge enlightens the ignorant.
The living and the wise favor him,

6. A truthful, pure-natured man of dignity.
When the stars grow dark,

7. He waters the land, so it bears fruit, not thorns.
He shows his care and gives his aid in secret,

8. While valiant heroes and warriors fear his sword.
The covetous feel misery because of him

9. While the fortunate enjoy his bounty.
Merciless when lances clash,

10. Yet kind when granting victory.
The crown of kings, the best

11. Of benevolence, resolute in the past.
Loyalty, not fickleness,

12. No weakness and no gloom.
Generous whether in ease or wrath,

13. And forgiving when angry.
A raging storm when resolved

14. Yet gentle in deliberation.
Devils in human form are shamed by him

15. When customs are ignored.
If an arrogant demon rises up

16. His argument's fire reduces it to ash
The Almighty protects his elite

17. Whether he fasts or breaks his fast.
His long life has made him weak,

18. No morning or evening left.
All the tribes desire him

19. Each has longstanding pride.
They envy the minister's glory—

20. For they are all Tamim.
