2. That glories between Sa'd and Malik
Are fortified, unknown to greedy ambitions,

ูข. ุจุฃู†ู‘ูŽ ุงู„ู…ุนุงู„ูŠ ุจูŠู† ุณุนุฏู ูˆู…ุงู„ูƒู
ู…ูุญุตู‘ูŽู†ุฉูŒ ู„ุง ุชูŽุฏู‘ูŽุฑูŠู‡ุง ุงู„ู…ูŽุทุงู…ุนู

3. And that the abode of glory from the branch of Khandaf
Is beyond the reach of the lofty and sublime,

ูฃ. ูˆุฃู†ู‘ูŽ ู…ุญู„ ุงู„ู…ุฌุฏ ู…ู† ูุฑุน ุฎู†ุฏูู
ุชู‚ุงุตูŽุฑู ุนู†ู‡ ุงู„ุดุงู…ุฎุงุชู ุงู„ููˆุงุฑุนู

4. And that the shortcomings of wishes for glory
Are contained, completed by Dฤrim and appeasers,

ูค. ูˆุฃู†ู‘ูŽ ู‚ุตูŠู‘ูŽุงุชู ุงู„ุฃู…ุงู†ูŠ ู…ู† ุงู„ุนูู„ู‰
ุญูˆุงู‡ุง ูุฃู†ู’ู‡ู‰ ุฏุงุฑู…ูŒ ูˆู…ูุฌุงุดูุนู

5. Past glories have attained every goal
So neither roughness deters, nor vastness obstructs,

ูฅ. ุณูˆุงุจู‚ ู…ุฌุฏู ุฃุญุฑุฒุช ูƒู„ ุบุงูŠุฉู
ูู„ุง ุงู„ูˆุนุฑ ู†ูƒู‘ูŽุงุจูŒ ูˆู„ุง ุงู„ุจูู‡ุฑ ู‚ุงุทุนู

6. And they have not ceased being protected by a master
To whom the living and time are obedient,

ูฆ. ูˆู…ุง ุจุฑุญูˆุง ู…ูุณุชุฑุนููŠู†ูŽ ุจุณูŠุฏู
ุชุฏูŠู† ู„ู‡ ุงู„ุฃุญูŠุงุกู ูˆุงู„ุฏู‘ูŽู‡ุฑู ุทุงุฆุนู

7. And if the night of tribulations darkened
And the dawns from their grandeur disappeared,

ูง. ูˆู…ุง ุงูู† ุฏุฌุง ู„ูŠู„ ุงู„ุฎุทูˆุจ ูˆุฃุธู„ู…ุช
ู…ุดุงุฑู‚ู ู…ู† ุนู„ูŠุงุฆู‡ู…ู’ ูˆู…ูŽุทุงู„ุนู

8. A bright new dawn emerged from their horizon
For which Allah is the starter and the caliph the raiser,

ูจ. ุจุฏุช ุฌูˆู†ุฉูŒ ู…ู† ุฃูู’ู‚ู‡ู…ู’ ู…ุณุชุจุฑู‘ูŽุฉูŒ
ู„ู‡ุง ุงู„ู„ู‘ู‡ู ู…ูุจู’ุฏู ูˆุงู„ุฎู„ูŠูุฉู ุฑุงููุนู

9. So the lost after long misguidance were guided,
And the abandoned were helped, and the content facilitated,

ูฉ. ูุฃูุฑุดุฏูŽ ุณุงุฑู ุจุนุฏ ุทูˆู„ ู…ุถู„ู‘ูŽุฉู
ูˆุฃูู†ุฌูุฏูŽ ู…ุฎุฐูˆู„ูŒ ูˆุฃููŠุณุฑูŽ ู‚ุงู†ุนู

10. By an eloquent white man whose eloquence increases
When events frown upon men,

ูกู . ุจุฃุจูŠุถูŽ ูˆุถู‘ูŽุงุญู ูŠุฒูŠุฏู ุทูŽู„ุงู‚ูŽุฉู‹
ุงุฐุง ู…ุง ุงูƒูู‡ุฑุช ู„ู„ุฑุฌุงู„ู ุงู„ูˆู‚ุงุฆุนู

11. A minister whom the qualified protect
And the perceptive souls fear his intuitive judgment,

ูกูก. ูˆุฒูŠุฑูŒ ุชุญุงู…ุงู‡ู ุงู„ูƒููุงุฉู ูˆุชูŽุชู‘ูŽู‚ูŠ
ุจุฏูŠู‡ุฉูŽ ูุชูˆุงู‡ู ุงู„ู†ููˆุณู ุงู„ุจูˆุงุฑุนู

12. The clerks of the departments dread his touch
When the obstinate divide authority,

ูกูข. ูˆูŠุฑู‡ุจู ุฃุญู’ุจุงุฑู ุงู„ุฏูˆุงูˆูŠู† ู„ู…ู’ุญู‡ู
ุงุฐุง ู†ูˆุฒุน ุงู„ุญูƒู…ูŽ ุงู„ู‚ุคูˆู„ู ุงู„ู…ู…ุงุตุนู

13. So he becomes the authority people follow, as if
His principles among the qualified are scriptures,

ูกูฃ. ููŠูุตุจุญ ู…ุชุจูˆุนูŽ ุงู„ู…ู‚ุงู„ู ูƒุฃู†ู…ุง
ุดุฑุงุฆุทู‡ู ุจูŠู† ุงู„ูƒููุงุฉู ุดุฑุงุฆุนู

14. He is humble despite increasing glory and status
So praise be to that glorious humble soul,

ูกูค. ุชูˆุงุถูŽุนูŽ ู„ู…ู‘ูŽุง ุงุฒู’ุฏุงุฏ ู…ุฌุฏุงู‹ ูˆุฑูู’ุนุฉู‹
ูู„ู„ู‡ ุฐุงูƒูŽ ุงู„ู…ุงุฌูุฏู ุงู„ู…ูุชูˆุงุถูุนู

15. He was generous to the prosperous without wealth
But he has a chest of glory that is vast,

ูกูฅ. ูˆุฌุงุฏ ุนู„ู‰ ุงู„ุนุงููŠู† ู…ู† ุบูŠุฑ ุซุฑู’ูˆุฉู
ูˆู„ูƒู†ู‘ูŽู‡ ุตุฏุฑูŒ ู…ู† ุงู„ู…ุฌุฏู ูˆุงุณุนู

16. He distributed his views, white and red,
And the army has a fine camp at the Tigris,

ูกูฆ. ูˆูุฑู‘ูŽู‚ูŽ ู…ู† ุขุฑุงุฆู‡ู ุงู„ุจูŠุถูŽ ูˆุงู„ู‚ูŽู†ุง
ูˆู„ู„ุฌูŠุด ุงูุทู’ู„ุงู„ูŒ ุจุฏุฌู„ุฉูŽ ุฑุงุฆุนู

17. And turned back every invader,
No Indian bent, no Syrian fled,

ูกูง. ูˆุฑุฏู‘ูŽ ุนู„ู‰ ุฃุนู‚ุงุจู‡ู ูƒู„ ุฏุงุบูุฑู
ูˆู…ุง ุณูู„ู‘ูŽ ู‡ูู†ู’ุฏูŠู‘ูŒ ูˆู…ุง ู‡ูุฒู‘ูŽ ุดุงุฑุน

18. He is the man, his patience is solid,
Dignified, and his will is firm,

ูกูจ. ู‡ูˆ ุงู„ู…ุฑุกู ุฃู…ุง ุญู„ู…ู‡ู ูู‡ูˆ ุฑุงุณูุฎูŒ
ุฑุฒูŠู†ูŒ ูˆุฃู…ุง ุนุฒู…ู‡ู ูู‡ูˆ ู‚ุงุทูุนู

19. The distinguished swaggerer wishes to match his calm,
And the tumultuous envy him in adversity,

ูกูฉ. ูŠูˆุฏู‘ู ุงู„ู…ูู†ูŠูู ุงู„ู…ูุดู…ุฎุฑู‘ู ุฃู†ุงุชู‡ู
ูˆุชุญุณุฏูู‡ู ุนู†ุฏ ุงู„ู…ุถุงุก ุงู„ุฒู‘ูŽุนุงุฒุนู

20. The Commander of the Faithful, may God be pleased with him,
Called him as Al-Qami the fighter was pleased,

ูขู . ุฏุนุงู‡ู ุฃู…ูŠุฑ ุงู„ู…ุคู…ู†ูŠู† ุฑูŽุถููŠู‘ูŽู‡ู
ูƒู…ุง ุฑุถูŠูŽ ุงู„ุนุถุจ ุงู„ูƒู…ูŠู‘ู ุงู„ู…ู‚ุงุฑุนู

21. And titled him the scion of the caliphate when
He saw the scion in him giving sincere advice,

ูขูก. ูˆู„ูŽู‚ู‘ูŽุจู‡ู ุบูŽุฑู’ุณูŽ ุงู„ุฎูู„ุงูุฉู ุญูŠู†ู…ุง
ุฑุฃู‰ ุงู„ุบุฑุณ ู…ู†ู‡ ูˆู‡ูˆ ุจุงู„ู†ู‘ูุตุญ ูŠุงู†ุนู

22. And no warrior roars without a leap,
So if he strains one day he duels the era,

ูขูข. ูˆู…ุง ู‚ุงุชู„ูŒ ุจุงู„ุฒุฃุฑู ู…ู† ุบูŠุฑ ูˆุซู’ุจูŽุฉู
ูุงู† ุดุฏู‘ูŽ ูŠูˆู…ุงู‹ ูู‡ูˆ ู„ู„ู‚ุฑู†ู ุตุงุฑุนู

23. Itโ€™s equal to him, war of one army while hungry,
If he missed his cubs and was starving,

ูขูฃ. ุณูˆุงุกูŒ ุนู„ูŠู‡ ุญุฑุจ ุฌูŠุด ูˆ ูˆุงุญุฏู
ุงุฐุง ุฑุงุญ ุนู† ุฃุดู’ุจุงู„ูู‡ ูˆู‡ูˆ ุฌุงุฆุนู

24. Armored warriors seem to him
As if their coats during battle are kind,

ูขูค. ูŠู‡ูˆู†ู ุนู„ูŠู‡ ุงู„ุฏุงุฑุนูˆู†ูŽ ูƒุฃู†ู…ุง
ุณูˆุงุจุบู‡ู… ุนู†ุฏ ุงู„ู„ู‚ุงุกู ู…ูˆุงุฏุนู

25. And sharp swords seem weak to him
As if there are no blades in stubborn gripping hands,

ูขูฅ. ูˆุชุถุนูู ุนู†ู‡ ุงู„ู…ุฑู‡ูุงุชู ูƒุฃู†ู…ุง ุงู„
ุตูŽูˆุงุฑู… ููŠ ุงู„ุฃูŠุฏูŠ ุงู„ุดุฏุงุฏ ูˆุดุงุฆุนู

26. And the lost in wastelands shake at his passing,
And palms on the farms, the tall, tremble,

ูขูฆ. ูˆูŠู‡ุชุฒู‘ู ุถุงู„ู ุงู„ู‚ุงุนู ุนู†ุฏ ู…ุฑูˆุฑู‡ู
ูˆุชู‚ู„ู‚ู ุจุงู„ุฑูŠูู ุงู„ู†ู‘ูŽุฎูŠู„ู ุงู„ูƒูˆุงุฑุนู

27. Braver than the kingโ€™s crown when night falls
And the streets disappear into the necks,

ูขูง. ุจุฃุดุฌุนูŽ ู…ู† ุชุงุฌู ุงู„ู…ูู„ูˆูƒู ุงุฐุง ุฏูŽุฌุง
ุงู„ุตุจุงุญ ูˆุบุงุจุช ููŠ ุงู„ู†ุญูˆุฑ ุงู„ุดูˆุงุฑุนู

28. So congratulate the sacred and other months,
Intimate night companion until the branch bows,

29. And I am hoping for his opinion's green wood
Blissful, though days return wavering,
