In glory, when the dust of battle stirs,

2. They take the bounty without asking
And when spears thirst, they slake them with the blood of men.

3. Indeed the brilliance of their faith, from them,
Is like a star amid the stalks in darkened nights,

4. Unveiling its glow to illuminate
The gloom of trials through the blackest nights.

5. A brother to the lofty when pleased or wroth
To one in straits or at the feast and rite,

6. And when perfection was complete in him
They called him in the deserts the most perfect knight,

7. He came like an Indian sword, victorious,
To him return triumphant every fight,

8. And loyalty congratulates him from a tribe
Valiant in battle and in argument.
