1. O Lord, if You reward the benevolent with good
Then reward the minister of goodness and kindness, Ahmed

2. Abu Ja'far, no star has risen or dawned
Nor has a dove sung or chirped

3. In the severe fever, if the fever is avoided
And in the pouring dew, if the dew is withheld

4. When you come to him, you will find him lofty and magnificent
An Indian orchid, green and full of flowers

5. With soft hair that no comb has touched
But he is most eminent, surpassing the narcissus and citron

6. Free and lively in absolute comfort
Permitting the created to enjoy his overflowing grace

7. When excuses are inadequate before his generosity
And though ample, his affection increases

8. As though the sun at dawn smiles through the beauty of morning
Reviving him on the day of peace when it rises

9. The fifth day humbles the overbearing Thursday
Though unique to beholders, unified

10. May the obeyed authority last, hoped for and feared
Directing the states of virtues and vices
