4. Capacious is the expanse of his chest, safe from ennui,
Until the wars have subsided and the fires quenched,

5. And the mourner prepares to mourn the loss.
The camel herd holds fast with halters,

6. Of fine, soft leather made from hide.
The shepherd spends the night anxious and sleepless,

7. Asking neither about torrent valley nor meadow.
His gray hair has guided the lost from their aims,

8. Changing fear for warmth and generosity.
Best of ministers, he brought prosperity and stopped bloodshed,

9. And won glory with sword and pen.
