1. The days rejoiced and his sorrows vanished,
And the aid of Muhammad's faith is its sultan.

2. The drinker rejoiced in the meadows flowing to him,
His perfume wafted gently, soothing those grieved.

3. Valour destroys the delicate with its glare,
While generosity subdues the living with its blaze.

4. His stance is high, soaring the heavens,
Above the stars is his position and place.

5. His views precede the spears as spears,
And fear before the stab, from it comes the stab.

6. Brave, skilled in speech and in battle,
He destroys the enemies, his teeth and tongue.

7. With two states, for fighting the transgressors,
And for speech, its eloquence among souls.

8. When a pulpit adorns itself with his insignia,
Its poles tremble from the excess of his pride.

9. A torrent, when the sky withholds its rain,
Suffices the children of draught with its springs.

10. His eyelids complain of the lack of gazelles,
And tire of the length of their closure.

11. The light of his face dispels the darkness of night,
And the flames of dusk expose its horizons.

12. His panegyrists roam the quaking towns,
Hastening, while his camels roam the towns.

13. The cooking pots boil for his guest,
While the year makes milk scarce in the meadows.

14. Firm against the calamities of fate, honoured,
Swift to his purpose, speedy his steed.

15. When the intellect of the day conceals its light,
The twilight stars cluster thickly.

16. The racers spurted over the bare land,
As if they, over it, are locusts.

17. Or charging she-camels, with Octobers new moons,
As if they, above them, are gardens.

18. They plow from the blood of wars with a departing,
Their dunes cascade from their advance.

19. When his brave camels passed the abundant sands,
Its pearls dried from the excess of their coursing.

20. And when they raced frightened and terrified,
The granting of rest silenced its spying.

21. They befriend those who roam, none of their fleeings,
Are safe from them, nor their burrows.

22. An army, black as the Euphrates' forests,
Its heroes and vegetation, its rough husks.

23. Sufficient is the aid of faith without an army,
That needs to fast for it or its horsemen.

24. He commanded it by the hills, so its souls rose up,
And its bodies cascaded down.

25. The courage of men hesitated in fear of it,
So its boldness in meeting was cowardly.

26. With morning zeal not rejecting its love,
Hoping for it, nor its solicitation.

27. Words postponing threats and departing
From promises, twisting its promises.

28. The qualities of highness appear in its glances,
And its proof is on the cheek’s secrecy.

29. His awe has filled exalted hearts,
And its proof is on the cheek's secrecy.

30. If one day I had wealth from life,
Remaining, then this is its time and moment.
