1. O Commander of the Faithful, through whom
Misfortunes cease flowing in waves, wave after wave,

2. Whenever I cried out to him in dire need,
He protected me, making spears and swords unnecessary,

3. I made you, in my affair, a strong pillar, and you have not ceased to be
My pillar after God, and my place of shelter,

4. Help me, help me immediately, not later,
With a disabling blow to the gathered army of Khosrau.
