1. And truthful youths from Tameem proliferated

2. And spears from the sweat of the secret and their hearts
Are resolute despite the severity of misfortunes

3. They lead a concealed army as if they are
Elite hawks with prestigious white spots

4. Competing towards nobility except the sword they have
A slayer not a protector of men with shields

5. I guaranteed them the kingdom of Iraq so they spread
Striking with sharpened swords

6. And if an annoyance befell me
I would march against it with an army of warriors

7. So I did not settle from the vicissitudes of fate
Nor was I frightened by the impact of misfortunes

8. Force yourself when dawn breaks for it is
The splendor of glory, not vain desires

9. Ask the singing girls about a scowling drunk
When the eyelids reveal the eyes of the gazelles

26. So the wind did not shake it before they clashed
Upon the curves, the necks of the surging floods

27. So the desert opened up springs for it and changed
The flat lands into croaking frogs

28. So no place except a mount for its riders
And no position except the disturbance of swamps

29. So the experienced man of the people said knowingly
Pure of earth and air, green of pasture

30. So I said to the most melodious of them, if you only knew him
The fingers of Nushirwan reach out to the content

31. His clouds the sinful wander through so there descends upon
The people from it consecutive strikes

32. Truthful companion to the blamers, his gathering with them
When the deceitful lightning of meteors lies

33. He illuminates the gloom, his habit ever glorious
Is to build greatness and fabricate treasures

34. A man of life, his home is for the desperate
Wanderer and his provision for the hungry

35. Safe from impulses of the heart, long-lasting indew
Dignified garb of forbearance, guarded hearing

36. He attains the feat of glory in humble attire
And ascends the height in the dress of humility

37. He seems by pure human nature whenever
He appears, to illuminate the darkness of ambitions

38. And he scorns abundant wealth even though it is
Free to him while the people's pasture is barren

39. When the necks are conquered by force and pulled
The mantle of heights and glory by grasping hands

40. It is admitted to him without any rivalry
And the rein of pride is released without any contest

41. As if his manners carry from his essence
A dew that descends from the meadows of perennial trees

42. Patience sheaths him without being weakened
And courage takes him forth without looking back

43. And affection for kindness tremors through him
Like the swaying of the supple boughs in succession

44. He has the bearing of noble pride with hostility
And in God a revering, humble heart

45. Affectionate, if estrangement were provision for one seeking
I would befriend him heedless of deprivation

46. The honor of religion folded the hidden
From the glory, fallen to misfortune and defeat

47. So he left the seekers of glory as prey
To attain what was built between purpose and ascent

48. Congratulations to you for the generous progeny for it is
The illumination of a meteors that brightened the horizon

49. You worshipped and sought more piety
So you came with a submitted, obedient servant

50. As for what you attained, you were raising it
And made it forget you, not its raiser

51. So my congratulations to the people through it
For through you they took refuge from deadly strikes
