1. If my soul's slaughter brought me close,
To God, I would hasten to slaughter.

2. In gratitude, thanking God for preserving,
The master of all sultans, the essence of pottery, my father Al-Fath.

3. A youth whose own health brings health to the world,
And my words in meaning are like the dawn.

4. Generous in nature, water envies his gentleness,
Innocent of the blemished arrogance and stinginess.

5. His bounty rivals the Euphrates in flow,
And he draws from the thrusts of spears the youth of the lance.

6. When the foe are led to battle's din,
The Chapter of Victory softens for him.

7. If my offering is little, I have much,
Prayer, love, and praise.
