1. O my people, my tribe, I call upon you
For he of abundant virtue and generosity

2. Saddle it lean, outpacing,
Filling the land with weapons and madness

3. To caves where dawn is reckoned
A wing of night from stirred embers

4. Whenever a gallant knight bares his sword
His blade clings to him and is steadfast

5. And injustice comes to you whose honor
Lies between his killing and tongue

6. So my words are spoils to the ignorant
Praise nursed, and censored nourished

7. My desire in praising them, their adornment
That is your adornment, verdant price

8. Every gallant, protector of honor
Glory is not attained by one who lived or will live

9. Good reputation pleased him, so honor persisted
And was supple from it and trained

10. Give the cities glad tidings dispersed
Killing that remains a talk of time

11. And Khorasan a sheltering companion
It is the land of Ali son of Al-Hassan

12. Land of accord, what it contains
Made wealth the price for praise

13. Pouring generosity when life was dear
With everflowing streams when flood roared

14. Bright of face, pure his honor
Unsullied cloak from touch of harm

15. Barren mount denies not guests
A year it is not dried of milk

16. At ease, giving freely, his generosity
No turbid water or hint of favor

17. In wasting wealth a roaring sea
Kills drought, and in club a bosom

18. Honor of the Faith, his beneficence
Revived ethics' most noble traits

19. Ambition sovereign, his times
Prevented his death the prime of youth

20. Faithful of heart, do not doubt him
Suspicion's conjecture or slander's stones

21. The unseen speaks of his words
That which was of secrets, as if one known

22. Living, honor filled you such
When injustice weakened, it leaned

23. Yes bestower in lasting
Brother of generosity when time was miserly

24. Will ransom you always from every harm
Shelter of speech, if it erred

25. Empty heart and palm together
Giving loss he counts honor loss

26. Your soul noble until magnified
Beyond body's descent or dwelling

27. And ecstasy filled you with glory, so
Yearning led you not to the riches

28. O you, whose beneficence
Sweetened exile for me after homeland

29. Each year for people a feast it has
Grief is killed and sorrow slain

30. And for us each passing day with you
Days of good deeds, celebrations

31. For there is fast and there is breakfast
As the moon tilts over the Minaret dome
