4. The stars looked on your ranks, their light
Made their souls count themselves in your legions

5. The Imam called his men, protectors of the sublime
You came charging in the first wave

6. With sword that thunders when sharpened
With composure, gift of an open-handed gallant

7. You rose above its darkness, and it was at dawn
A gloomy gloom, like an intensely dark night

8. Until its wing shone for one crying for help
To God, the best repository of hope

9. So He increased you in gifts and largesse
And Fate honors whom the ready sword honors

10. And when you supported Muhammad’s faith steadfastly

11. You meet drought and famine with your might, and the dew

12. You protect though no plea is raised in distress
You give freely, though you are not asked

13. You pass through storms when they blow
While stillness of soul cloaks you

14. And if gloom conceals clashing swords
Surfacing and sinking in the dimness

15. A fearful miser in luxury and home
Stern at settlement, and overstepping

16. The bumpy path disobeys proper ways
And veers from the smoothest road

17. His mount knows his caution for himself
So it is neglectful, walking in no fixed direction

18. Seeking safety and peace as alarm grows less
Of thunderer's threats and tumult

19. The son of the pillar of faith made his soul
Take rest in the excellent victorious one

20. Crying for help to his grandfather the Conqueror
Pride of mortals, breast of clamor and greatness
