Your generosity flows to the clouds above

Pure of secret, beyond illusion and blemish

6. The noble distinguish people only
You excel the riders of steeds

7. If you are called, you swiftly answer
Marching to aid amidst the arrows' hiss

8. Quick to grant victory and favor, forgiving
Slow to take revenge on the sinner

9. Pillar of the splendid state, protector
Of its principles, compliant to the imam

10. Your affection is won with a day of peace
When the oath-breaker betrays with guile

11. Willingly you answer the calls of the exalted
And disobey the whisper of blame

12. You face troubles and nights with generosity and smiles
So no place remains dark where you tread

13. If I cannot reward his gifts with verse
Articulate in composition and metre

14. Then I am no poet of Tameem
But a mere cobbler tapping his awl
