1. The jewel of glory rests in its possession,
While the withered and faded fall short of it.

2. His innate clemency forgives the gravest sin,
When the manners of men are adorned with forbearance.

3. When death lays bare its agonies, they are ephemeral,
And if the ignoble masses arrive, they soon disperse.

4. He is the virtuous and favored one in knowledge and munificence,
His benevolence enriches the ignorant and destitute.

5. Neither wealth in plenty impresses him,
Nor awesome fears make him withhold.

6. I found through his overflowing munificence,
The prosperous humbled, and the resolute submitting.
