And from calamities whose afflictions are dreadful.

2. And never parted from those virtues is wellness,
Delighted, as long as its drinker drinks water.

3. For the most high of Ahmad bin Muhammad
Is the beloved of Ghairan, whose machinations are feared,

4. A minister whom the abode flees from the atmosphere of his land,
And the sides of clouds envy him and its pourer.

5. The darkness of night is pierced by his divisions,
When its darkness and obscurities grow dense.

ุฅุฐุง ู…ุง ุฏูŽุฌุชู’ ุธู„ู’ู…ุงุคู‡ู ูˆุบูŽูŠุงู‡ุจูู‡ู’

6. When two boastful ones compete in generosity,
His books and writings compete.

ูƒุฑูŠู…ู ุชุจุงุฑุชู’ ูƒูุชู’ุจูู‡ู ูˆูƒูŽุชุงุฆูุจูู‡ู’

7. So for one short in space and overtaking,
There are piercing strikes like the fang of a wolf and probable hits.

ุทูุนุงู†ูŒ ูƒูˆู„ู’ุบ ุงู„ุฐูŠุจ ูˆุดู’ูƒูŒ ู…ุนุงุทุจู‡

8. The lines of his poetry conceal their meanings,
As do their caravans openly manifest them.

9. A living man, while his neighbor forbids him,
Protects him, and his money, he grants it.

10. Scattered in his peace and fighting
Are the skulls of heroes of strife and its floods.

ุฌู…ุงุฌู…ู ุฃุจุทุงู„ู ุงู„ูˆูŽุบู‰ ูˆุฑูŽุบุงุฆุจูู‡ู’

11. Verdant in generosity or fortified in help,
When fate insists on aiding him and its clouds.

ุฅุฐุง ุงู„ุฏู‡ุฑ ุฃูƒู’ุฏู‰ ู†ุตุฑู‡ู ูˆุณุญุงุฆุจูู‡

12. When the red hyena extends its neck
Its injuries and biting wounds pierce it.

13. So they came with determination and composure to the most high,
His virtues multiplying the sands of Anโ€™amayn.

14. Of my father Jaโ€™far, crown of kings, by which
His loyalists are honored and his adversaries humiliated.
