3. These are events of fate that you knew
Left no family to be protected and treasure to be stored

4. You headed purposefully to the caliphate
So you destroyed its pillars and glory

5. Long ago, it destroyed Jadis and Tasm
Inciting them to the graves, incited

6. Listen and observe their abodes - do you see any
One of them, or hear a whisper?

7. The eyes are gone, so be patient and stoic
To calamities, for the free one is consoled

8. So keep the heart of the saddened refugee
Lamenting in sorrow, and provoked

9. He did not allow the leader to be dishonored
And was not averse, disgusted

10. Many a day I saw him among the bare hills
With him fending them off, resisting

15. The beasts rested from him though he would see them
And not see any caution from him

16. How many gazelles tilted toward him and he struck them
And how much game he hunted and startled!

17. The turns of fate seek what profits the noble youth, the most noble
So if you find any anguish in heart and self from the blow

18. Remember bygones - he of noble manner would be consoled
When praised

19. Where are Shaqq and Dahis and Dubaib
Struck by the occurrences of fate, struck?

20. Galn the generous, and it chipped away
At Zurb, al-Lizaz and al-Sakib, chipped

21. It truly humbled al-Wajeeh and Maqtoum
The clan of A’sar and crooked Auj, humbled

22. And it confronted the unified so it threw him
And Gharib, Zuhdum - so it provoked

23. So thank God that the slightest loss you suffered
Is what you were consoled for

24. We have eulogized and not fallen short, and went far,
And in some, what sufficed him and fulfilled him

25. It is just to reward Abu Eisa
Based on what we did and were rewarded
