1. Joyfully he meets his beloved, swaying,
Trembling with praise of her, his sides shake.
١. نَشوانُ يَلقى المُعتَفى مُتهَلِّلاً
يَهتَزُّ من مَدحٍ بهِ عطفَاهُ
2. And when he sings in praise you'd think him
Like Malik or Ti'i reciting verse.
٢. وإذا أصاخَ إلى المديحِ رَأَيتَه
وكأن مالك طيِّئِ غنَّاهُ
