1. If the one you love appears depressed
And you stay patient, not crying, you have neglected

2. So untie the knots of tears in the abode of love
For it has the right to cry for you unconditionally

3. Let the tears flow on the soil of the ruins
Weeping is an ordained duty in the law of passion, never to be neglected

4. A house you dwelled in, so its delegations came
It seduced me away from it, while you remained indifferent

5. And if youth takes control of a young man
His tender shoulders will bear no frequent prostration

6. How to be consoled for love of a moon
Who dwells inside me in a middle abode

7. I accept what he chooses willingly
Even if he sacrifices what would make me indignant

8. I will not forget the day we met with delight
And my breast collapsed from the pangs of love

9. So I understood from his humiliation before me and his honor
That beauty reigns supreme over hearts

10. Beauty is an army that never releases its prisoner
And its slain lay soaked in the blood of passion

11. He is an early riser whose determination
Takes him to the heights, unfaltering, undeterred

12. His companion and aide empowering his ascent
Whether he casts him or wields a cutting sword

13. With it he folds the rugged roads
I attack the lofty settlements, my turban disheveled

14. Frolicking, leaping in his travel
Like the clouds rumbling, gathering, and swelling

15. Through it the children of morning shine as if
He is a ship atop the tumultuous waves

16. And when at daybreak, a white palace appeared to his eyes
With palms, its nobility everlasting

17. He saw the white domes, their glory lasted
His travels ceased, his path disrupted

18. He settled in Tayba for the stay like an eagle
So excellent is his harbor and resting place

He arrived at the noblest dwelling

20. Whence charity and piety can be extracted
Superior in virtue and raised by Muhammad

21. To a vast, lofty superiority that cannot be measured
He is the best of prophets, the noblest

22. Their spokesman, the just imam
He is the best source of hope and most generous intercessor

23. On Judgment Day, defending his neighbor, not slighting
The eyes of polytheism and tyranny conspired against him

24. And by him the sea of guidance surged tumultuously
He came and the devil of misguidance opened

25. The doors of misguidance for his confused horde
Casting his empty lures upon his followers

26. Fabricating futile words and gibberish
As if he and his gang in their delusions

27. Are wanderers in the gloom, staggering blindly
The light of faith erased the darkness of his cunning

28. Frail, he retreated, humbled and defeated
With the conquest of victory he rose above his schemes

29. So he fell, disgraced, his power crushed
How many tyrants have your swords struck down

30. Slicing oppressors like a sharp blade
With it faith soared from its dormancy

31. Until it reached a pinnacle that will not diminish
He endowed his messenger with the purest nation

32. Chosen from the most honorable and moderate stock
None among them without a gnostic or devout

33. Or a scholar extracting wisdom from its mines
And tomorrow at his Pond they will be his vanguard

34. As he intercedes for disobedient sinners
They will be witnesses over the faults of others

35. On Resurrection Day, their honor never waning
And tomorrow they will be the foremost rows of Paradise

36. As verified in authentic scriptures
The most virtuous of mankind in lineage and origin

37. The most generous of hand and open-handed
The most clement, not retaliating against

38. Those who do evil, a just, fair arbiter
Indeed he was harmed and deceived

39. With sorcery by a cunning, wretched Jew
But he sought refuge from the schemes of the deviants

40. As if a tethered camel freed from its restraints
This while never frowning in the face of harm

41. Nor heard to utter any words of indignation
And some disgraced him with defamation

42. As precious pearls gathered by listening ears
The angels expanded his heart with four truths

43. How excellent is what his garment contains
And likewise ten verses and his ascension

44. Narrated by an unwavering, unerring carrier
The moon of night-times split in honor of him

45. And throngs in Mecca cried out in elation
With the clamor of its halves, one and the other

46. By Mount Abu Qubays, inevitably severed
And he complained on the Day of Hudaybiya of his followers’ clamor

47. Their screams uncontainable, irrepressible
He gave them water until satiated and purified

48. By the water between his fingers, sprinkled
And a delegation of Fazara came to him while their lands

49. Were barren, withered and starved
He dispelled their despair with his prayer, and one

50. Whose messenger is the Prophet will not despair
He supplicated so the rains poured forth

51. As if shredded garments continuously ripped
And he, peace be upon him, has the intercession in the Hereafter, his Pond

52. Sweet of drink, and the greatest banner
He has the highest praised station and covering

53. On Judgment Day, all will envy
This, by your life, is the unmatched merit

54. Of undisputed excellence and most equitable praise
O elite of the Merciful, from all mankind

55. The one whose mention adorns every address
I turn to the Lord Most High through you

56. At every disaster shrieking and wailing
Through you I seek refuge, and whoever takes refuge

57. In your mighty stature will not be debased
So ask for victory for your weak nation
