1. My preparation for life and death and resurrection,
And a black fire with flames,

2. Ahmad Al-Shafi'i Al-Wajeeh Abu Al-Qasim,
The fortunate one above all fortunes,

3. The one who gave good tidings to the crowned one, a sword,
Followed by a priest in the market of Ukaz,

4. And he came to them with the decisive Quran,
So they forgot the sermon, the preacher of sermons,

5. He is the reviver of hearts and eraser of sins,
Delight of the eye, garden of the preservers,

6. He came with the truth while Satan strove
Between the party of misguidance, the troublesome,

7. Polytheism entered their hearts by force,
Like snakes enter dens,

8. So he showed them miracles to be guided,
Sufficient for patience and vigilance,

9. And guided them to the straight path,
Inheriting the adornment of pure hearts,

10. So every repenting servant drew near to him,
And every immoral transgressor kept away,

11. Indeed, he who turned in repentance succeeded,
While the regrets of the hypocritical frauds prolonged,

12. He kept excelling in eloquence until
Abdullah was worshiped among the young and old,

13. And the dawn rises, and the sword and spear,
And the purity spread after the muddiness,

14. So religion came inclining while disbelief
Withdrew confusedly with bleary eyes,

15. O beloved of Ar-Rahman, O towering in glory,
O formidable preserver,

16. O beautiful ethics, O bestower of bounties,
Pleased and forgiving to the unjust preservers,

17. O generous lineage, O most eloquent of tongues,
O most mellifluous words,

18. O compassionate to the believers, severe
To the people of corruption, stern,

19. O intercessor of mankind, savior of the disobedient
From the grip of the severe tyrants,

20. O quencher of the thirsty in dire thirst,
Inform us while people are in disarray and muddiness,

21. In a stance in which the huge became sulfuric,
Then breathed the breath of the enraged,

22. O prophet of guidance, help a seeker of refuge in you
In constant calamities,

23. From an era in which acceptance is for the ignorant
And time for the foolish prater,

24. In it grace and wealth for the immersed,
While the brother of knowledge is unable to gain,

25. The knowledgeable carried in it
Like the shackled carries fines and floggings,

26. And ask Allah for His kindness in love,
For to Him is my youth and my preservation,

27. And when my grave separates me alone,
Absent from the vision of prying eyes,

28. And when the soul is shocked at death,
O what a separation!

29. No one but you, peace every day,
From a loving steadfast admirer.
