1. I have a claim against the beloved that
I am infatuated by his love, caught in his madness
١. لِيَ دَعوى عَلى الحَبيبِ بِأَنّي
مُغرَمٌ بِهواهُ وَفيهِ جُنونُهْ
2. If he denies it and calls for witnesses
Then my witnesses are his heart and his eyes
٢. إِن بَدا مُنكِراً وَرامَ شُهوداً
فَشُهودي فُؤاده وَعُيونُه
