1. Flowed the water of Muhayya secretly
And shade from serpents crept stealthily
١. سَرى ماءُ المُحيّا مُستسِرّاً
وَظلَّ مِنَ الحَيا يَسري خَفيّا
2. Green was its gentle greenery therein
Stretching over it, canopy-like nearly
٢. وَبانَ عِذارُهُ المُخضَرُّ فيهِ
ومدَّ عليه مثلَ الظلِّ فَيّا
3. Naught grew thereon save to reveal
Water of Muhayya for men to feel
٣. وَلَم يَكُ نابِتاً إِلّا دَليلاً
يَدلُّ بِهِ عَلى ماءِ المُحيّا
