1. Allah is the Greatest, the religion of Allah is victorious
Allah is the Greatest, the sword of religion unsheathed
١. اللَّهُ أًكبرُ دينُ اللَّهِ مُنتَصرٌ
اللَّهُ أَكبرُ سَيفُ الدّينِ مَسلولُ
2. Allah is the Greatest, the religion of polytheism is defeated
Allah is the Greatest, the religion of disbelief is humiliated
٢. اللَّهُ أَكبَرُ دينُ الشِّركِ مُنكسِرٌ
اللَّه أَكبرُ دينُ الكفرِ مَخذولُ
3. And praise be to Allah, Lord of bounties, our Master
Who granted victory when victory was hoped for
٣. وَالحَمدُ للَّهِ ذي الآلاءِ سيّدِنا
مَنْ مَنّ بِالنّصرِ حيثُ النّصرُ مأمولُ
4. And aided religion after weakness from a group
That associated others with God and superstitions appeared among them
٤. وَأَيَّد الدّينَ بَعدَ الضَّعفِ مِن فِئةٍ
قَد أَشرَكَت وَبدَت فيها التّهاويلُ
5. So that was a band of disbelief which appeared in the world
With every dog that came out was not restrained by any wolf
٥. فَتِلكَ عُصْبةُ كُفرٍ في الدُّنى ظَهَرت
بِكُلِّ كَلبٍ غَدا لم يَحكِهِ الغُولُ
6. The beasts of the forest flee from him wherever he traveled
And the birds, even the cranes, fear his arrows
٦. تَفِرُّ مِنهُ أُسودُ الغابِ حَيثُ سَطا
وتختَشي سَهمَه الطيرُ الأبابيلُ
7. He attacks like preying wolves while they are fleeing prey
And he is not troubled by any fatigue or burden
٧. يَكِرُّ كَرَّ الضّواري وهيَ عادِيةٌ
وَلَيسَ يُجهِدُه كَدٌّ وتثقيلُ
8. He knows not death even if his sword drips with blood
And death encompasses his people with wounds and killings
٨. لا يَعرِفُ المَوتَ لَو دارَت سُلافتهُ
وعمَّ في قومه جَرحٌ وتقتيلُ
9. O woe unto them from the tyrants, evil is what they have done
For glory - that which brings disgrace and humiliation
٩. يا وَيلَهم مِن غُواةٍ بِئسَ ما صَنعوا
لِلعزِّ فيما بِهِ ذُلٌّ وتَذليلُ
10. They have lost the way, and so God made their endeavor go astray
And in their view there was no doubt, straying
١٠. ضلُّوا السّبيلَ أَضلَّ اللَّهُ سَعيَهُمُ
وَكانَ في رَأيهم لا شكَّ تضليلُ
11. They substituted the ugliness of disbelief for the ugliest of it
And the worst disbelief seemed good to them in exchange
١١. تَبَدَّلوا بِقَبيحِ الكفرِ أقبَحهُ
وَلَذَّ عِندَهمُ في الكفرِ تَبديلُ
12. They were Christians, but due to their stupidity became
Secularists whose promises were soon broken
١٢. كَانوا نَصارى فَصاروا مِن غَباوَتهم
دَهرِيّةً عَهدُهم بِالنقضِ محلولُ
13. No resurrection, no gathering, their beliefs decreed
No Psalms, Torah or Bible
١٣. لا بَعثَ لا حَشرَ تَقضيهِ عَقائِدُهم
ولا زَبورَ وتوراةٌ وإِنجيلُ
14. No prophet, no Jesus and his mother Mary
No angels - none of that and not Gabriel
١٤. وَلا نَبِيَّ ولا عيسى ومريَمُهُ
وَلا مَلائِكةً كلّا وَجِبريلُ
15. They are the French who God destroyed their state
And it was seized from the iron grip forcefully peeled away
١٥. هُمُ الفِرنسيسُ أَفنى اللَّهُ دَولَتهم
ونالَها من شديدِ البَطش تزويلُ
16. They named themselves Freemasons - wretched is what they innovated
For it is enveloped in great ignorance
١٦. بالفَرْمَسونَ تَسمَّوا بِئسَ ما اِبتَدعوا
فَإِنَّهُ بِعَظيمِ الجهلِ مَشمولُ
17. Their leader was no less than Nimrod resembling him
In tyranny - and Aad and Pharaoh the arrogant
١٧. كَبيرُهم لَم يَكُن نُمروذ يُشبهُهُ
جبراً وعادٌ وفرعونُ المباهيلُ
18. He named himself Bonaparte but then rebelled
And was repelled in his rebellion angrily humiliated
١٨. لَقَد تَسمّى بِبونوبارْتي فبَغى
ورُدَّ بِالبغيِ غَيظاً وَهوَ مَخجولُ
19. And he appealed against the one whose progeny he attempted
And they were deceived by his tricks and plotting
١٩. وَقَد دَعا للّذي قَد رامَ عِترتَهُ
وَغَرَّهم مِنهُ تَمويهٌ وَتَدجيلُ
20. They transgressed and rebelled when they pursued corruption
And they had no way to change that course
٢٠. وَقَد طَغوا وَبغَوا إِذ بِالفَسادِ سعَوا
وَلَم يَكُن لهُمُ عَن ذاكَ تَحويلُ
21. They devised tricks with deceit which were supported
And supported the deceit with confusion and imagination
٢١. وَصَنَّفوا حِيَلاً بِالمَكرِ قَد عُضِدَت
وَأيَّدَ المَكرَ تَلبيسٌ وَتَخييلُ
22. They intended to take the lands of the Muslims and what
They intended - it is God who foiled it
٢٢. وَدّوا اِتخاذَ بِلاد المُسلمينَ وما
دَرَوْا بِأَنَّ الّذي وَدّوهُ مَحظولُ
23. So in ships they came to Egypt in an uncanny manner
Ships whose sails shaded the eyes of the sun
٢٣. فَفي غَرايب جاؤوا مِصرَ في سُفُنٍ
قَد كانَ مِنها لِعَينِ الشَّمسِ تَظليلُ
24. They seized it through war unprecedented
Which cannot be told in similes and examples
٢٤. تَملَّكوها بِحَربٍ لا مثالَ لَهُ
وَلَيسَ يَحكيهِ تَشبيهٌ وَتَمثيلُ
25. In it they stayed for the month of fasting preparing
For war - the army there was depleted
٢٥. بِها أَقاموا لِشَهرِ الصّومِ في أُهَبٍ
لَقَد تَبدّى بِها لِلحَربِ تَكميلُ
26. They marched their horses in that month and headed
Towards Syria in which are the monasteries
٢٦. شَدّوا المَطايا بِذاكَ الشَّهرِ وَاِتجَهوا
نَحوَ الشآمِ الّتي فيها الأَراجيلُ
27. They came to El Arish and camped at its fortress
Like locusts - a disreputable ruinous people
٢٧. جاؤوا العَريشَ وَحَطّوا عِندَ قَلعَتِها
مِثلَ الجَرادِ وَهُم قَومٌ مَفاسيلُ
28. They fought it for ten days - the battle was fierce
The Muslim army there was overwhelmed
٢٨. فَحارَبوها مِنَ الأيّامِ عَشرتَها
حَرباً شَديداً لَديهِ الجَيشُ مَفلولُ
29. The Muslims then surrendered the fortress with a treaty
When the water supply there was exhausted
٢٩. فَسلَّمَ المُسلِمونَ الغُرُّ قَلعَتَها
بِالصُّلحِ إِذ قَلَّ مثل الماءِ مَأكولُ
30. After that they came to Jaffa which was blessed
With the Muslims that were in it when they attained
٣٠. وَبَعدَ ذا قَد أتَوْا يافا الَّتي سَعِدَت
بِمَن بِها مِن ذَوي الإِسلام إذ نيلوا
31. They incited each other saying: attack it!
And plunge into the heat of fierce fighting
٣١. داروا بِها حَلَقاً إِذ قالَ قائِلُهم
هُمّوا عَلَيها وَفي أَقوى الوغَى ميلوا
32. We will take it in three days and seize the land
Far and wide - it's length included in its breadth
٣٢. فَحارَبوها مِنَ الأيّامِ أَربعَةً
وَقَد قَضى اللَّهُ ما لا فيهِ تَبديلُ
33. Vain hopes spoke to him about seizing it
And the words of hopes are nothing but delusions
٣٣. فَإِنَّهُ إِنْ قَضى أَمراً ينفّذُهُ
وَأَمرُه حينما يَقضيهِ مَفعولُ
34. He thought Jaffa like Egypt or like Malta
Or like Rome - and thinking is imagining
٣٤. فَفي المَدافِعِ يَومَ العيدِ قَد فَتَحوا
في السّورِ باباً أَتَت منهُ العَراقيلُ
35. Doesn't he know that Jaffa is not like those
Except one feeble of mind and insane?
٣٥. وَمِنهُ قَد دَخَلوا وَقتَ الزّوالِ وَقَد
جَدَّ القتالُ وَقَلَّ القالُ وَالقيلُ
36. Doesn't he know that Jaffa's fire has increased
And whoever intends to seize it, is burned?
٣٦. وَالحَربُ قامَت على ساقٍ وَقَد حَمِيَت
وَالمَوتُ حينئذٍ لا شكَّ مَقبولُ
37. Doesn't he know that the best of prophets entirely
Is at its gate - opened and locked?
٣٧. حَيثُ الرَّصاصُ كَقَطرِ الوَبلِ مُتَّسِقاً
وَالسَّيفُ مِن كَثرَةِ التفتيكِ مَفلولُ
38. Doesn't he know about the father of the two grandsons, our Master
In his tower drew out an sharpened sword?
٣٨. كَم قَتَّلوا غِلْمةً فيها وَغانِيةً
وَخَرَّ في الأَرضِ لَيثٌ وَهوَ مثكولُ
39. Likewise a man of repute saw in his dream
Two who resemble them - and this is conveyed
٣٩. كَم مُستَغيثٍ يُنادي بِالتوجُّعِ يا
لَلّهِ لِلمُسلِمينَ الغرِّ إِذْ نيلوا
40. Doesn't he know that the lion of the forest is inside it
And that Jaffa for the lions of battle is the thickets?
٤٠. وَالحَربُ دامَت سِجالاً غيرَ فاتِرةٍ
إِلى الدُّجى وَظلامُ اللَّيلِ مَسدولُ
41. Doesn't he know that in it is Dhughma a brave hero
Steadfast of heart whom no horrors can shake
٤١. فَما أَتى الصُّبحُ إِلّا وَالَّذينَ بقوا
هَذا جَريحٌ وذا بِالأَسرِ مَكبولُ
42. Ashhab the Baz didn't frighten him
The buzzing of insects, a sparrow or a starling
٤٢. وَأَمَّنوا مَن بِها مِن بَعدِ ما نَهَبوا
ما في يَدَيهم وَما في الأَرضِ مَجعولُ
43. So how can the horrors of battle frighten a man
Created from battle, its affairs innate within him?
٤٣. وَبَعدَ تَأمينِهم خانوا عَساكِرَها
وَكُلُّهم بِرَصاصِ الكُّفرِ مَقتولُ
44. He is the slaughtering lion, their executioner
With the Indian sword nothing makes him waver
٤٤. وَاللَّه يجبرُ يافا في مُصيبَتِها
مِنْ فَضلِهِ وَهوَ مَرجوٌّ وَمَأمولُ
45. When the enemies saw him pounce towards them
They thought him an army - in awe they recoiled
٤٥. وَقَد تَقَوَّى عُداة الدّينِ إِذ مَلَكوا
يافا بِشَيءٍ بِهِ لِلحَربِ تَحصيلُ
46. He turned horses with his encouragement into lions
From whose might the real lions flee
٤٦. حازوا مَدافعَها وَالقوتَ أَجمَعهُ
وكلُّ ذاكَ إِلى عَكّاءَ مَزمولُ
47. How many towns came continually to unblemished Jaffa
To perform jihad, urged on enthusiastically
٤٧. وَبادِروا السَّيرَ مِن يافا وَقَد قَرُبَت
آجالُهم وَلَها قَد حَلَّ تَأجيلُ
48. How many went to battle the enemies sincerely
Spending wealth and soul, no threat hinders him
٤٨. كَأَنَّما أَسرَعتْ فيهم مَنيَّتُهم
في مَرجِ عكّا الّتي فيها البَهاليلُ
49. How many volunteered on the day of slaughter, sacrificing
A polytheist - and the sacrifice is accepted
٤٩. وَهُم يُساقونَ لِلمَوتِ الَّذي كَرِهوا
وَما لَهُم عَنهُ تَقديمٌ وَتَهليلُ
50. How many ended the siege by slaughtering a ram
And taking its head separated
٥٠. في مَرجِها أَخبرَ الهادي بِذَبحِهِمُ
وَعَنهُ ذا الأمرُ مَرويٌّ وَمَنقولُ
51. How often did the Slaughterer raid the enemies calculating
Neither wealth nor self preventing him from the horrors
٥١. وَصَحَّ ما قالَهُ المَصدوقُ سيِّدُنا
وَقَولُه الصّدقُ لا يَعروهُ تَبديلُ
52. How abundant were those he gathered and supported
While the gathering of their enemies was paltry
٥٢. نادى كَبيرُهُمُ فيهِم يُحرِّضُهم
عَلى القتالِ وَمِنهُ الجهدُ مَبذولُ
53. Every time the battles raged he showed his resilience
And with veneration, reverence for him intensified
٥٣. وَقالَ أَلقوا عَلى عكّاءَ هِمَّتَكم
في حَربِها وَبِمَيدانِ الوَغى جُولوا
54. He bombarded them with multiples of what they bombarded
And their hopes of hitting were always denied
٥٤. فَإِنّها لِبِلادِ المُسلمينَ غَدَت
حِصناً لَدَيهِ لَقَد ذَلَّ الرآبيلُ
55. For ten days they bombarded Jaffa during their war
The sparks of shells rose like clouds providing shade
٥٥. فَإِنْ أَخَذتُم لِعكّا بِالقتالِ نَنَلْ
ما كانَ فيهِ لَنا إِرْبٌ وَتَأميلُ
56. As if their days when the shells rose up
Were nights of winter, wings folded over them
٥٦. وَفي ثَلاثٍ مِنَ الأَيّامِ نَأخُذُها
وَنَملكُ الأَرضَ عَرضاً ضمنهُ الطولُ
57. So that nothing can be seen but lightning
And thunder to the lost providing some light
٥٧. وَحَدَّثته الأَماني في تَمَلُّكِها
وما أَحاديثُها إِلّا الأَباطيلُ
58. And constant downpour of bullets continuously
From us - cut off and melted down
٥٨. وَظَنَّ عَكّا كَمِصرٍ أو كمالِطةٍ
أَو مِثلَ روميّةٍ وَالظَنُّ تخييلُ
59. The fighting does not stop for a time or an hour
And since it started there has been no cessation
٥٩. أَما دَرى أَنَّ عكّا لا يُشبِّهُها
بِذاكَ إِلّا سَخيفُ العَقلِ مَخبولُ
60. That is a war unmatched in the past
Not explicitly conveyed like reports
٦٠. أَما دَرى أَنّ عَكّا نارُها كَثُرت
وَمَن نَوى أَخذَها بِالنارِ مَشعولُ
61. The infant, still a child, becomes grey-haired from the terror
And its horrors make the sane mind insane
٦١. أَما دَرى أَنَّ خَيرَ الرُّسلِ قاطِبةً
في بابِها وَهوَ مَفتوحٌ وَمَقفولُ
62. How many charges did they make raising their ladders
Their number in summary would be prolonged
٦٢. أَما دَرى بِأَبي السِّبطَينِ سَيّدنا
في بُرجِهِ سَلَّ سَيفاً وَهوَ مَصقولُ
63. How many times they climbed its walls but fell
Dead and were afflicted with death and killings
٦٣. كَذاكَ شامَهُما في نَومِهِ رَجلٌ
مِنَ الثّقاتِ وَهَذا عَنهُ مَنقولُ
64. How many towers collapsed from their cannons
As if after being built they immediately crumbled
٦٤. أَما دَرَى أن أُسْدَ الغابِ داخلَها
وَأَنّ عَكّا لِآسادِ الوغى غيلُ
65. How many walls fell from their bombs
And how many battlements tottered and leaned
٦٥. أَما دَرَى أَنّ فيها ضَيغَماً بطلاً
ثَبتَ الفُؤادِ وَلَم يُزعِجْه تَهويلُ
66. If the wall collapses, the Slaughterer is its guardian
For he is the wall, and the wall, the monasteries!
٦٦. وَلَم يَكُن أَشهبُ البازاتِ يُرهبُه
طَنُّ الذُّبابِ وعصفورٌ وعسقولُ
67. He hurls cannons like thunder in their loudness
Or lightning strikes - intense and frequent
٦٧. وَكَيفَ يَرهَبُ أَهوالَ الوغى رَجلٌ
مِنَ الوغى وأُمورِ الحَربِ مَجبولُ
68. When fired into the darkness like shooting stars
Plunging and as if at night they were lamps
٦٨. وَإِنّهُ الأسدُ الجزّارُ ذابِحُهم
بِصَيْقَل حَدٍّ لا يَعروهُ تَفليلُ
69. How many infidels were blown into the air wickedly
And how many accursed were torn apart unknown
٦٩. وَقَد سرَت عُصبةُ الإِشراكِ هَرولةً
لِنَحوِ عكّا وما فيه العَقابيلُ
70. With the cannons he burns and grills them
Well-cooked for the birds' consumption facilitated
٧٠. وَفي ثَلاثٍ بِشوّالٍ وَعَشرتِهِ
جاؤوا وطالِعُهم بِالنَّحسِ مَوصولُ
71. He feeds their flesh to the hungry birds
And the birds find that meat palatable
٧١. حَطّوا عَلَيها وَهُم كَالنّملِ عِدَّتُهم
وَالنَّملُ مِن ضَعفِهِ بِالوَطءِ مَقتولُ
72. How many shells burned them in the air
Where burning them was documented
٧٢. وَمُذْ أَتَوا حَفروا في مَرجِها حُفراً
كانَت لُحوداً لَهم فيها التَّهاويلُ
73. And whenever the fighting intensified he was joyous
Eyes delighted with good tidings intoxicated
٧٣. وَاللَّهُ أَوقَعَهم فيما لَهُ حَفَروا
وَكانَ فيهِ لَهُم تَنكيئٌ وَتَنكيلُ
74. He brandishes his sharpened sword at them
As if a lion in attack or an elephant
٧٤. وَصارَ في مَرجِها بِالحَفرِ أَوديةٌ
دَمُ العِدا سالَ فيها وَهوَ مَطلولُ
75. He is like Antara whose courage became famous
The cowardly and ignoble in awe of him
٧٥. في كُلِّ وادٍ يَسيرُ الضَّخمُ من إِبلٍ
بِحملِهِ الضّخمِ لا يُثنيهِ مَحمولُ
76. Whenever they fought he showed his composure
And with veneration and reverence he was regarded
٧٦. تَتَرَّسوا مِن مَخافٍ في حَفائِرِهم
وَذاكَ يَفعَلُه لِلخَوفِ إِجفيلُ
77. How often the Slaughterer raided them with good intentions
Neither wealth nor life making him waver
٧٧. وَفي مَتاريسهِم صَفّوا مَدافِعَهُم
وَكانَ يَجمَعُهم لِلحَربِ تَطبيلُ
78. How great was the number he gathered and supported
While the gathering of the enemies was fractured
٧٨. وَقارَبوا سورَهُ والسّورُ راكبُه
أُسْدٌ وَلَو أَنَّهم وَقتَ الوغى ميلُ
79. However much they fought he displayed perseverance
And with reverence and respect he was venerated
٧٩. وَحاصَروها بِتَضييقٍ محاصَرةً
يُدَكُّ من حَملها قافٌ وزهلولُ
80.
And he repelled them with multiples of what they repelled
٨٠. وَحارَبوها حُروباً لَم تَكُن سَلفت
وَلا رَواها بِأَوهَى الوضعِ مَجهولُ
81. While from them hopes were always denied
Sixty days they stayed and then four
٨١. فَكَم ألوفٌ مِنَ الكُلّاتِ قَد ضَربوا
وَعَدُّها فيهِ بِالإِجمالِ تَطويلُ
82. In the meadow of Acre but they did not go
They utilized all their schemes and means
٨٢. وَلَيس يُحصَرُ تَعداداً رَصاصُهمُ
وَلَيسَ يُحصيهِ إِجمالٌ وَتَفصيلُ
83. But none benefited them or came to their aid
Allah destroyed over half of them
٨٣. وَقَد عَلاها لَدى أَيّامِ حَربِهِمِ
مُثارُ نَقْعٍ بِهِ كَالغيمِ تَظليلُ
84. And repelled those who escaped in humiliation
They fled by night with no stars
٨٤. كَأنَّ أَيّامَهم حَيثُ العَجاجُ عَلا
لَيلُ الشّتاءِ عَلَيهِ الجُنحُ مَسدولُ
85. Secretly their hearts filled with terror
Ten miles in the time they took to flee
٨٥. فَلَيسَ يدرك فيهِ غَيرُ صاعِقةٍ
وغيرُ برقٍ به ذو اللُّبِّ ضِلّيلُ
86. As if walking the same distance takes a year
They headed towards Egypt where they resolved
٨٦. وَغَيرُ وَبْلِ رَصاصٍ سَحَّ مُتّصلاً
دَوماً مِنّا وَهوَ مَقطوعٌ وَمَحلولُ
87. To flee in terror of the Slaughterer, terrified
By morning only their dwellings could be seen
٨٧. لا تَفتُرُ الحَربُ في وَقتٍ وَلا زمَنٍ
وَلَيسَ في شَأنِها مُذْ كانَ تَعطيلُ
88. Thanks to God as disbelief was humiliated
God supported the Slaughterer against a small band
٨٨. فَتِلكَ حَربٌ خلَت عمّا يشاكِلُها
وَلَم يُصرِّحْ بِها كَالنَّقلِ مَعقولُ
89. Through him supported and helped
For he strengthened the religion of God from weakness
٨٩. يَشيبُ مِنها الوليدُ الطفلُ مِن فَزَعٍ
وَهَوْلُها مِنهُ رَبُّ العقلِ مَخبولُ
90. He is one who for God has unsheathed his sword
If not for him, the lands of the Muslims would have
٩٠. كَم هَجمَةٍ وَضَعوا فيها سَلالِمَهم
وَما بِهِ لِصعودِ السُّورِ تَوسيلُ
91. Become the French's kingdom, no way to revert it
And the Muslims would have had two states thereafter
٩١. وَكَم عَلَوا سورَها مِن مرّةٍ وغدَوْا
صَرعى وحَلَّ بِهِم فَتكٌ وَتَقتيلُ
92. One prisoner, another by the sword killed
٩٢. وَكَم تَهدَّمَ بُرجٌ مِن مَدافِعِهم
كَأَنَّه عقبَ التّشييدِ هُذلولُ
93. But Allah, the Lord of bounties, saved them
And the blessing encompassed where sought
٩٣. وَكَم تَساقطَ سورٌ مِن قَنابرهم
وَكَم تَجَندلَ قِرْمٌ وَهوَ مَتلولُ
94. May God reward him for this religion best
As long as glorifying and praising remains
٩٤. وَالسّورُ إِنْ هُدَّ فَالجزّارُ حافِظُها
فَإِنَّهُ السّورُ والسّورُ الأراجيلُ
٩٥. يَرمي قَنابِر مِثلَ الرّعدِ صَيحتُها
أَوِ الصّواعِقِ قَصفاً وَهيَ شِمليلُ
٩٦. كَأَنّها حينَ تُرمى في الدُّجى شُهبٌ
تَنقَضُّ أَو أَنَّها لَيلاً قناديلُ
٩٧. كَم طارَ في الجَوِّ مِنها كافِرٌ أشِر
وَكَم تَمزَّقَ مَلعونٌ وَمَبهولُ
٩٨. وَفي المَدافِعِ يَشويهِم ويُنضِجُهم
وَالنُّضْجُ فيهِ لِأَكلِ الطّيرِ تَسهيلُ
٩٩. يُقري بِلَحمِهِمُ الأَطيارَ جائِعَةً
وطابَ للطيرِ من ذا اللحمِ مأكولُ
١٠٠. وَكَم لُغُومٍ بها في الجَوِّ أحرقَهم
وَكانَ فيها لِحُكمِ الحَرقِ تَسجيلُ
١٠١. وَكُلَّما حَمِيَت أَوطاسُ حَربِهِم
فَطَرْفُهُ فَرحاً بِالبِشرِ مَكحولُ
١٠٢. وَيَنتَضي سَيفَه المَصقولَ نَحوَهُمُ
كَأَنّهُ اللَّيثُ إِذ يَسطو أَوِ الفيلُ
١٠٣. وَعَنتَرٌ مَنْ لَقَد شاعَت شَجاعَتُهُ
لَديهِ لا شَكَّ ذو جُبْنٍ وَصِمْليلُ
١٠٤. إِذا رَأَته العِدا قَد كَرَّ نَحوَهُمُ
ظَنُّوهُ جَيشاً وَمِن إِجلالِه هِيلوا
١٠٥. قَد صَيَّرَ الفَسْلَ مِن تَحريضِه أسَداً
تَفرُّ مِن بَأسِهِ الأُسْدُ الرآبيلُ
١٠٦. كَم حَجَّ قِرْمٌ إِلى عَكّا الّتي اِحتُرِمَت
يَنوي الجِهادَ وَقَد أَزجاهُ تَعجيلُ
١٠٧. كَم بائِعٍ نَفسَه للَّهِ مُحتسِبٍ
وَقتَ الحروبِ وَمنهُ المالُ مَبذولُ
١٠٨. وَكَم تَقَرَّبَ يَومَ النَّحرِ منتدِبٌ
بِنَحرِهِ مُشرِكاً وَالنّحرُ مَقبولُ
١٠٩. وَكَم تَحلَّلَ مِن إِحصارِهِ رَجُلٌ
بِذَبحِ عِلْجٍ وَمِنهُ الرَّأسُ مَفصولُ
١١٠. وَكَم غَزا في العِدا الجَزّارُ مُحتَسِباً
بِالمالِ وَالنّفسِ لا يَثنيه تَهويلُ
١١١. كَم كانَ في جَمعِهِ مِن كَثرَةٍ نُصِرَت
وَكانَ في جَمعِهِم ذي الكسرِ تقليلُ
١١٢. وَكلَّما حارَبوا أَبدى تَجلُّدَهُ
وَقَد عَلاهُ مَعَ الإِجلالِ تَبجيلُ
١١٣. وَقَد رَماهُم بِأَضعافٍ مُضاعفةٍ
مِمّا رَمَوهُ وَمِنهُم خابَ تَأميلُ
١١٤. سِتينَ يَوماً أَقاموا ثمَّ أَربَعَةً
في مَرجِ عَكّا فَما زالوا وَلا زيلوا
١١٥. وَأَظهَروا ما لَدَيهم مِن مَكائدِهم
فلم تُفِدهم ولا وافاهُمُ السُّولُ
١١٦. وَأَهلَكَ اللَّهُ مِنهُم فَوقَ نِصفِهم
وَرَدَّ مَن فَرَّ مِنهُم وَهوَ مَخذولُ
١١٧. وَلّوا فِراراً بِلَيلٍ لا نُجومَ لَهُ
سِرّاً وَقَلبُهُم بِالرُّعبِ مَشمولُ
١١٨. مِنَ الفَراسِخِ عَشرٌ حينَما هَربوا
كَأَنّها حينَما يَمشونَها ميلُ
١١٩. تَوجَّهوا نَحوَ مصرٍ حيثُ عزمُهمُ
بالرُّعب من خشية الجزّار مقطولُ
١٢٠. وَأَصبَحوا لا تُرى إِلّا مسَاكِنهم
وَالحَمدَ للَّهِ حَيثُ الكفرُ مخجولُ
١٢١. وَأيّدَ السّيِّد الجزّارَ في فِئةٍ
قَليلَةٍ وَهوَ بِالتّأييدِ مَنحولُ
١٢٢. فَإِنَّهُ شادَ دينَ اللَّهِ مِن وَهَنٍ
وَإِنَّهُ مُرهَفٌ للَّه مسْلولُ
١٢٣. لَولاهُ كانَت بِلادُ المُسلِمينَ غَدَت
مُلكَ الفِرنسيسَ لا يَعروهُ تحويلُ
١٢٤. وَالمُسلِمونَ لَهُم حالانِ حينَئذٍ
هَذا أَسيرٌ وذا بِالسّيفِ مقتولُ
١٢٥. وَلَكن اللَّهُ ذو الأَلطافِ سَلَّمَهُم
وَعَمَّ بِاللُّطفِ حَيثُ اللُّطفُ مَسؤولُ
١٢٦. واللَّهُ يَجزيهِ عَن ذا الدِّينِ خَيرَ جزا
ما دامَ في الكَونِ تَسبيحٌ وتَهليلُ
