1. The day I saw the clouds accumulating
And from them I saw the rain of the clouds pouring down
١. وَيَوم رَأَيت السّحبَ فيهِ تَراكَمَت
وَمِنها أَرى حبّ الغَمامِ قَدِ اِنصَبّا
2. The midday sun hid from our eyes
And the clouds sprinkled on us their moist pearls
٢. تَوارَت بِها شَمسُ الضّحى عَن عُيونِنِا
وَرَشَّت عَلَينا السّحبُ لُؤْلؤُها الرّطبا
