1. O Mustafa Shalabi, my brother
Of kindness and refinement

2. Lord of glory and nobility
Generous and honorable

3. With cheeks of virtue, devoted to piety
Of sound purpose and decent upbringing

4. May Allah heal you, our Creator
Of pains and tribulations

5. And may you live in good health
Free from harm for all time

6. With a body free from illness
A heart free from anguish

7. A life free from troubles
A being free from defects

8. Long life in prosperity
Exalted in fate and rank

9. I complained just now of distress
And so I suffered distress

10. For your Lord out of His love
Afflicts His servant with distress

11. To raise him to higher ranks
In His Paradise, no doubt

12. And to atone for misdeeds
As the best Prophet has stated

13. And to increase rewards for him
For that is not owed to him

14. So be well and peaceful
Without worries or fatigue
