1. The lips sipped rosedew from the brushwood-twigs,
And he said, for shoots of the grove were in leaf,
١. اِستاكَ بِالمِسواكِ رَبُّ البها
فَاِرتَشَف الصّهباء خَلف الشّفاهْ
2. "Ye marvel that waters of life I should drink;" -
Wonder not! Waters of life have I quaffed.
٢. قالَ وَقَد أَورَق مِن ريعةٍ
لا تَعجَبوا شَرِبت ماءَ الحَياه
