I invoked protection for him in the Verse of the Throne

2. The sun at midday showed his face
Nothing in it was like what’s in the mind or sense

3. He displayed clear proof on his cheeks
So I supported his words, acceptable to the soul

4. The sophists said, “My clear miracle
Is that God, my Lord, showed the night in the sun.”
