Dragging the skirts of delirium, heralding good tidings and withdrawing.

With excellent rhetoric and eloquence they plead.

4. On the sand dune of bliss his partridges sang,
With the gentlest melodies they chanted and thrilled.

7. Some stars walking, others hurrying,
Some appearing but not disappearing.

8. They stretch their rays to us like spears,
We deemed them spears thrust at us.

10. An arrival in which joy drew its swords,
In sorrow it rose looting and striking.

I smelled it only fleeing and escaping.

Thoughts never drew near it one day.

To us from Damascus in Syria, accompanying the human.

16. When the herald came in it, shoulders bumping,
Ours competing to meet his.

17. An arrival for the son of al-Kuzbarฤซ, our Imฤm,
Imฤm of Damascus whom virtue is attributed.

18. He is the scholar, sea of knowledge and its jurist,
Its famous hadith scholar, the refined.

19. He is the gnostic ascetic of piety and devoutness,
The precise scholar and the well-mannered.

20. Of excellent drafting with sweetest diction,
With the splendor of investigation he is hard to attain and withdraw.

21. Of excellent character adorned with beauty,
Of excellent nature he disciplines.

22. Of excellent patience, accompanying dignity,
With proficiency of opinion, accompanying deliberation.

23. With pride that mounts glory and sublimity,
Elevating his status, majesty established him.

24. He visited Beirut and honored its land,
The world bewildered and shocked.

25. Dressing it in glory, enlivening its expanse,
One plot flourishing, another fertile.

26. In it he settled like the sun settled its sky,
A star time never erased like stars.

27. I deemed Beirutโ€™s sky the sun, assured,
And I forbid that what I deemed is a lie.

28. In it he visited Yahya al-Hasur, his left side,
At its famous mosque of mention sought.

ุจูุฌุงู…ูุนูู‡ุง ุงู„ู…ูŽุดู‡ูˆุฑู ุจูุงู„ุฐู‘ูƒุฑู ูŠูุฑุบูŽุจู

29. And Sheikh Shams al-Din, meaning its martyr,
With a corner attributed and ascribed to him.

Became a grandson counted and reckoned.

31. He visited a Sheikh associated with Serpah,
With a fence over it for protection built.

32. And the forty men over whom
Blessing and sweet rain pour from contentment.

33. And Umm Harฤm the aunt of Ibn Mฤlik,
Servant of the Messenger of Allah and the beloved.

He is al-Khidr alive, the prophet brought near.

35. At its Silsilah River, its freshness was wholesome,
Flowing smoothly, sweet and pleasant.

36. He visited its gnostic, spread in Syria and the west his denomination,
A great Imam prominent in hadith,

37. Given priority in it, and they made it obligatory.
