1. How just are the orbits in their rotation!
Have you not seen balance in its measure?

2. These are my wishes that I aspired to
And I wished them conveyed at their time.

3. Their time of existence came, so I knew
Our matters are pledged to their era.

4. They came with the passion of longing in attaining them
So I rested when they were attained and seen.

5. Now eyes are pleased with good news
Sleep's remoteness from their lids is long.

6. But tidings made livers moist for us
Their heat almost melted them in the gardens.

7. Hearts were delighted in the pericardium, they kindled
Their heat almost melted the body from its fires.

8. Imagination ignited in it a spark
Which brought confusion into minds.

9. But the dawn of certainty appeared and extinguished them
And with its sword it had cut off their tongue.

10. And that dawn spread diffusing its light
With the tidings of joys in the cosmos.

11. And it spins from the light of bliss canopies
With which it clothes the souls and bodies.

12. The bearer of good news came with what we aspire to
In the time of the ascent of good fortune and its opportunity.

13. The two fortunes coincided in the cosmos’ nexus
And Mars kept its distance from its node.

14. His good tidings were a cure for hearts
Like the ruby’s exhilaration from its throbbing.

15. They almost overflowed from bliss, but
God’s subtle kindness protected them from flooding.

16. He showed us the ministry has come
To the noble lion among its peers.

17. The water returned to its channels which
Dried up and the water decreased from its turbulence.

18. The sun returned to its mansions proudly
And its supreme might and sultanate.

19. It came to the fierce lion in battle
Scatterer of knights in its arena

20. Terrifier of lions in their dens
Repeller of heroes with its assault

21. Lord of the boats, it did not draw them but
The lion died from its flashing

22. Lord of lofty following, it did not shake them but
Destruction stood at its teeth

23. Who pierces the livers, slaying in them the lion
Of its knights and heroes?

24. The gallant horseman to whom
Every horse of every knight is Arabian

25. Whenever he raced the knights he contained
The spearwood of the race, and it bore witness to him

26. The steeds of battle rear up and grow vigorous with him
And the birds race with the birds in their flight

27. If the short one rose above them, it would inhale
The sky’s height and come near to its balance

28. Glory of glories, honor of the honorable’s sons
Nobility of mastership in itssublime rank

29. But the notable’s eyes in existence
And its light in times, rather its mankind

30. Lord of highnesses, virtues and dew
Lord of traits, their best and most beautiful

31. Whose palm pours rain with its generosity
And the sea overflows with its benefaction

32. Lord of rhetoric and eloquence, who contained
The spell of minds in its beauty and clarity

33. If it were among those who preceded, there would not be
Mention of them or a remnant of them

34. Lord of rare qualities and traits, singular in
Its praise, ease, and beauty

35. Knowledge and forbearance in the abode of wisdom
Which combined all wisdom in its mastery

36. Justice and gentleness, then softness of mercy
All people rejoiced in thanking it

37. In its heart, which is tender, lies
What it deposited of God’s mercy

38. And it humbled itself to God with piety
In excellent sincerity in its practice

39. Cheer and dignity with awe
Before which even lions repent of disobedience

40. It is feared even by those not seeing it
As the tombs are feared in their stillness

41. And politics perfected by the light of insight
Secured through it from deficiency in times

42. And traits, the finest of beauties, wearing
Like flowers in the spring of their time

43. The magnanimous Abdullah, master of his time
For whom mastery counts its crown

44. The ministry has come to him, swaggering
In its gown in his courtyard

45. Bestowed generously upon him by a state
In which construction is immortalized in its pillars

46. The splendid state among worldly states
Granted victory’s continuity in its aides

47. No king among past kings attained it
Did any attain it but the Ottomans?

48. Especially our Sultan Mahmud
Crown of kings, rather its sultan

49. A great king with no peer
Honor of kings, with lofty rank

50. Its ministers are like kings, preceded
By Caesar and the Khagan therein

51. His talent poured with a torrent of virtues
With the supreme position of its benefaction

52. It, the ministry, bestowed upon
This magnanimous one, including him among its notables

53. And it loved with it a position in our country
Which ministers choose over its lands

54. Ruling Sidon and Tripoli, likened
To Damascus of Syria among its peers

55. Ruling Acre, which waters with Egypt
From Al-Arish to Aswan’s end

56. If it had been like this day, the Persian kings
Would not have prided themselves on their hall

57. It joined these countries out of affection
Like the lover, intertwining with fingers

58. Yearning for him as their governor, always
Supplicating with its palms and humility of soul

59. My God has answered its supplication
For its prayer from its heart and tongue

60. Those countries and their people rejoiced in it
And discarded the garb of sorrow and grief

61. Praise be to God, its inhabitants are safe
By His subtle kindness and grace in their homelands

62. O you magnanimous minister, brother of piety
Lord of highnesses, taking its reins

63. O garden of kindness and virtue
In which benefactions appear from you in its branches

64. My God has endowed you with a blessing
Of all gifts in the hands of its Granter

65. So you have bestowed in these countries a state
Make justice's continuity from its thankfulness

66. That tree of mercy has flourished
With justice, then clemency among its branches

67. We reap the fruits of security from its branches
Shaded by its shadow and safety

68. So congratulate with it a joyous heart by name
And a delighted eye in life and its time

69. And be safe and healthy with lasting glory
Around which good fortune revolves with its nodes

70. Neither did the green finch twitter above its branches
Nor did lightning illuminate in its flashing

71. No dawn appeared or morning star
As long as the orbits are in rotation
